"I Want to Store Young-woo's Sincerity Away in a Box"

"I wanted to understand the thoughts and sincerity of the character Young-woo, and convey them to the viewers. I figured that autistic people and their families would accept it. Gimbap... I ate it so much during the shoot that I can't think of it anymore. Haha".

The ENA drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" which ended on the 18th, was difficult to guarantee success without actor Park Eun-bin (30), who played Woo Young-woo, no matter what anyone said. The production team also said, "We waited for a year for her to star in it" and "She tries to remain calm".

Park Eun-bin started as a child and has already been acting for 27 years, but as it is known, she declined the role of Woo Young-woo several times. She said, "I wasn't sure if I could do well", adding, "I was scared because I didn't have a clue about what kind of words and actions could show Young-woo".

"Every time I filmed it, I thought hard about it. Young-woo is a character with both specialty and loveliness. In order not to miss Young-woo's potential, I refused to approach her defensively just because she has a disability. I had to give you the impression that I'm weird, but at the same time, I had to show you that I'm not weird at all".

Throughout the interview, Park Eun-bin had a purple note with a whale on it. "It's a 'thought note' where I wrote down my feelings about my work and character while preparing for the drama", she said. "In it are traces of thinking about whether it's right to play Young-woo or if I might offend someone".

Park Eun-bin cited the scene where she tried to quit being a lawyer in the third episode as the most impressive scene in the drama. "When I saw Young-woo put down her job as the lawyer she's always wanted to be, I felt she was brave and philosophical", she said. "I could sympathize with her, thinking that she had gone through the years that she couldn't show in the drama because of her nature".

"There are some lines that I'm fond of. Speaking of a single horned whale in the last episode", she said. ""Everyone is different from me, so it's not easy to adapt, and there are many whales that hate me. But it's okay. This is my life. My life is strange, but valuable and beautiful". It seemed to show how much she's grown".

"Extraordinary Attorney Woo" caused a social syndrome with 17.5% of viewership in the final episode. Expectations have already been poured out for season 2. However, Park Eun-bin said, "I am grateful for your support, but I am cautious".

"I think it would be nice to take a picture of Young-woo, who ended with 'proud' at the end, and put her in her own treasure box. I want to let Young-woo go with a proud heart. If you ever ask me to open the treasure box again..., I think I need a lot more determination than when I first decided to face her".
