According to figures released by the Korean Film Council, the science fiction film "Wonderland" is the leader at the South Korean box office, having topped the competition in all three days of its release. On June 7th, "Wonderland" had 66,840 admissions. Coupled with totals from the previous two days, "Wonderland" now has 297,845 overall admissions in its first three days as it heads into its first weekend.

"Wonderland" is the latest film from director Kim Tae-yong, who is perhaps best known for "Late Autumn - 2010" which also stars his present day wife Tang Wei. "Wonderland" is her first collaboration with her husband since then, though the Chinese actress also had a leading role in "Decision to Leave" from director Park Chan-wook in 2022. "Wonderland" depicts a virtual world with artificial intelligences who emulate the lost loved ones of the story's human characters.
