[HanCinema's News] "Three Bold Siblings" Receives One Episode Extension

By William Schwartz on 2023/01/09 at 22:27 PST

KBS has confirmed that the weekend drama "Three Bold Siblings" will run for fifty-one episodes, rather than the fifty originally planned. The extension is because the KBS Drama Awards on December 31st pushed the twenty-ninth episode to Sunday of that week. As "Three Bold Siblings" is now airing odd-numbered episodes on Sundays, an extra episode is necessary to insure the two episode a week pace.

"Three Bold Siblings" now has a projected ending date of March 19th, though this could change in the event of future preemptions. The family drama opened with ratings of 20.5% in its first episode on September 24th, and is currently at a high point of 24.4% in its thirty-first episode on January 8th. Its predecessor "It's Beautiful Now" had ratings of 21.6% in its thirty-first episode, though "It's Beautiful Now" has had a better ratings performance overall.

"Three Bold Siblings" stars Lee Ha-na as a doctor who works in television and Lim Ju-hwan as a celebrity, both of whom support their families as the eldest siblings. It airs worldwide via Rakuten Viki. "Three Bold Siblings" will be replaced by "The Real Has Come!" on KBS in March.
