According to figures recently released by the Korean Film Council, on May 29th, "The Roundup: Punishment" had a cumulative total of 11,130,515 admissions. With this number, "The Roundup: Punishment" officially takes twenty-first place on South Korea's all time box office leaderboard. Previously, twenty-first place was held by "Silmido" which earned 11,081,000 admissions during its run back in 2003.

This figure is only true for South Korean films, however. "The Roundup: Punishment" is twenty-sixth place if foreign films are included. The next possible benchmark, twentieth place, is currently held by "The Attorney" which earned 11,374,610 admissions back in 2014. "The Roundup: Punishment" saw its domestic release at the South Korean box office on April 24th, and hit this benchmark after thirty-six days of availability.

"The Roundup: Punishment" only earned 20,528 admissions on May 30th for a current total of 11,151,043 admissions. While not impossible, the action film seems unlikely to beat the legal thriller to crack the top twenty. "The Plot" is the new champion of the immediate box office, earning 45,273 admissions in its second day of availability on May 30th for an overall total of 171,117 admissions.
