With ratings of 6.037% on June 23rd, "Miss Night and Day" has seen a notable improvement from the 3.289% ratings it earned in its first episode on June 15th. But Netflix viewers may have been ahead of the curve on the romantic comedy's popularity. The latest official Netflix charts for June 17th to June 23rd show that the JTBC series is in sixth place for non-English series, with 6.4 million hours viewed.

The numbers are far from exceptional. They don't crack the international top ten, and they're only the third highest even among other South Korean series. "Hierarchy" in third place had 18.9 million viewers, while "The Atypical Family" in ninth place had 14 million views. Netflix divides hours viewed by available episodes when determining rankings, is how "Miss Night and Day" can have a better ranking than "The Atypical Family" despite having fewing hours viewed.

But "The Atypical Family" sets a high bar for success. The fantasy romance has only been in the official Netflix charts for seven weeks, and has achieved a strong international performance thanks to strong recommendations between users. "Miss Night and Day" is another fantasy romance with an odd premise and lead actors with a mixed record. Nevertheless, it too, may strike a chord with viewers worldwide by being more than a sum of its parts.
