[HanCinema's News] "Exhuma" Reclaims Top Spot at South Korean Box Office

On March 31st, the Korean Film Council released figures for the previous day at the South Korean box office showing that "Exhuma" was once again the most popular movie in South Korean theaters, with 183,474 admissions logged on that Saturday for a grand total of 10,810,765 admissions. With this news, "Exhuma" now seems certain to clear the eleven million viewer mark, though this will likely be the occult mystery thriller's final such milestone.

"Troll Factory" briefly took the top spot at the South Korean box office on March 27th, but interest in the cyber crime drama has flagged since its premiere. On March 30th, it had only 145,405 admissions for a current total of 418,028 admissions, and may be lucky to hit even a million admissions. Big titles like "Exhuma" and small ones like "Troll Factory" have become increasingly common in the South Korean film market, with surprisingly little middle ground between the two.
