"My Name Is Loh Kiwan" is a movie about the meeting, separation, and love between North Korean defector Ki-wan, who arrived in Belgium with the last hope of his life, and a woman who lost her reason for life, and Song Joong-ki and Choi Sung-eun play Kiwan and Mari, respectively.

Song Joong-ki has become a trusted actor by performing in "Space Sweepers", "Vincenzo", and recently "Reborn Rich". In "My Name Is Loh Kiwan", he will make another drastic transformation as a North Korean defector, a man struggling to gain recognition for refugee status, his only hope, in European soil where he heads for with nothing to his name.

Choi Sung-eun, who has played various characters in Netflix's "The Sound of Magic" and the movie "Gentleman" after impressing fans with the drama "Beyond Evil", plays Mari, a former Belgian-Korean shooter. Unlike Loh Kiwan, Mari is a character who has lost reason to live, and unintentionally falls in love with Loh Kiwan, who is entangled in a bad relationship.

Jo Han-chul plays Mari's father Yoon-seong, and Kim Sung-ryung plays Ok-hee, the mother who is the decisive reason for Loh Kiwan heading to Belgium. Lee Il-hwa plays Mari's mother Jeong-joo and Lee Sang-hee plays Seon-joo, an ethnic Korean who Kiwan meets in a Belgian factory. Actor Seo Hyun-woo plays Loh Kiwan's maternal uncle Eun-cheol.

Director Kim Hee-jin-V directs and writes "My Name Is Loh Kiwan". It is the debut of director Kim Hee-jin-V, who won the Best Picture Award at the Jeonju International Film Festival, the Seoul Independent Film Festival and the Asiana International Short Film Festival for his short film "School Trip". "My Name Is Loh Kiwan" will be released on Netflix.
