The late Kwon Byung-gil died of old age on March 11th, 2023. He was 76.

The late Kwon Byung-gil, who debuted in 1968 with the play "The Barren Land", has appeared in hundreds of works over fifty years, going back and forth between movies, dramas, and theater.

The late Kwon Byung-gil appeared in dramas such as "Ruler of Your Own World", "Special Investigation Diary: Case No. 1", "General Hospital 2", "Believe in Love", "Sign", "The Mighty Gift", "IRIS 2", and movies such as "My Love, My Bride - 2014", "Take the Money and Bounce", "Public Enemy", "Memories of Murder", "The Host", "Barefoot Ki-bong", "Le Grand Chef", and "Mother - 2009".

He has also been active in the theater industry for a long time, appearing in "Don Quixote", "Hamlet", and "Bald Singer", and even until a year before his death, he continued to perform on the stage of "The Good Man of Thousand".

He also served as the chairman of the Gyeonggi Arts Center and won the Modern Theater Award acting award, the Dong-A Theater Award male acting award, and the International Drama Arts Association Younghee Theater Award.
