Kang Tae-oh, Park Jinyoung, Lee Jae-wook Flying in Romance

Actors Kang Tae-oh (28), Park Jinyoung (28) and Lee Jae-wook (24) are poised to emerge as the new 'youth stars' of the small screen with the sweet charm of romance. They are showing their presence in overseas OTT (online video service) stages beyond Korea, leading pink romance in ENA's "Extraordinary Attorney Woo", TVING's original series "Yumi's Cells 2" and tvN's "Alchemy of Souls" respectively.

Kang Tae-oh plays Lee Joon-ho, an employee of the law firm's Songmu team, in "Extraordinary Attorney Woo". He's gaining popularity by forming a pink atmosphere with Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin), a lawyer with autism spectrum disorder. Thanks to this, in the second week of July (11th-17th), announced by Good Data Corporation, a popular research company, it surpassed Park Eun-bin and rose to the top. As the drama succeeded in becoming the world's top non-English speaking drama on Netflix's 'Global Top 10' on the 20th, overseas fandom is also rapidly growing.

Park Jinyoung is drawing realistic love stories of office workers through "Yumi's Cells - Season 2", drawing sympathy from viewers in their 20s and 30s. He plays Yoo Bobby who is in a 'long-distance relationship' with Kim Yumi (Kim Go-eun), a co-worker. They were evaluated as delicately expressing the separation and reunion process between lovers. Earlier, he has mainly played fantasy materials such as "The Devil Judge" and has expanded his scope of activities to romantic comedy genres.

Lee Jae-wook plays the role of a rich young master in "Alchemy of Souls" which is based on the fantasy Great World, and depicts the story of growing into a 'magician' who performs magic. He started a romance with teacher Jung So-min on the 17th and raised the viewer rating from 5% (Nielsen Korea) to 7%. Although it is popular enough to be ranked seventh in the world's most watched TV drama on Netflix on the 20th, it has not received much attention in Korea because fantasy dramas are not yet popular. However, it is playing a role as a driving force for viewership by adding love stories from teachers and students to stimulate excitement.
