[HanCinema's News] "Gyeongseong Creature" Widely Lauded Overseas

December 22nd saw the release of the first part of "Gyeongseong Creature" on Netflix worldwide. Foreign personalities have taken note, with many expressing strong interest in the project. In the Phillippines, MJ Marfori described the "Gyeongseong Creature" as blending suspense and romance and succeeding in that challenge, saying that the series was sure to be a popular worldwide K-series. In Thailand, PoohChaiKonNun described the background and narrative as being quite good.

PoohChaiKonNun also stated that Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee's acting created much charm in the production. Elsewhere in Thailand, Tang Makkapon described "Gyeongseong Creature" as a look forward for Korean content production, calling it a series not to be missed because of the top quality of how it was shot. Praise has also been strong regarding the quality of the acting. TRUE ID of Thailand praised the directing quality and the acting quality in equal measure.

Yaya Zahir of Malaysia described Park Seo-joon and Han So-hee's performances as being at the top of their form. Hani Fadzil of Malaysia called "Gyeongseong Creature" amazing because of the surprise of its production. Ayu Utami of Indonesia stated that the forties era sets and wardrobe were quite surprising. Alexander Simunjuntak of Indonesia likewise described the production quality as being great from the opening scene of the first episode.

"Gyeongseong Creature" has also been covered in various English language publications, most notably with a feature in Time Magazine about its historical background, which can be read here. "Gyeongseong Creature" ranked sixth place in its first day on the international Netflix leaderboard according to FlixPatrol- quite high, as most Netflix series have depressed numbers until at least their second day. The second part of "Gyeongseong Creature" will stream worldwide on January 4th.
