Gang Dong-won, Park Jung-min in "Uprising"

The Netflix movie "Uprising" has completed the casting lineup.

On the 7th, "Uprising" released photos of the script reading scene with the cast. Gang Dong-won, Park Jung-min, Cha Seung-won, Kim Shin-rok, Jin Sun-kyu and Jung Sung-il-I confirmed their appearance and finished reading the script.

"Uprising" is set in the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1592. The story of the son of the Musin family, Jong-yeo (Park Jung-min), and his servant, Cheon-yeong (Gang Dong-won). The two reunite as enemies of King Seonjo's closest military officers and righteous army.

Cheon-yeong, played by Gang Dong-won, is a slave and righteous army. He is a lowly man, but his sword skills are superior to anyone else. He struggles to escape from his ill-defined slave status.

Park Jung-min plays the role of Jong-yeo, the son of Joseon's highest Musin family. After the martial arts examination, Jong-yeo will be escorted by his ancestors. He made friendships with the slave Cheon-yeong beyond his status, but this only frustrates him.

Cha Seung-won plays the character of Seonjo. When the Imjin War broke out, he abandoned the people and fled. After the war, he only strives to rebuild the king's authority.

Kim Shin-rok plays the role of a strong righteous army Beom-dong. Nothing can beat her, not even the order of status.

Jin Sun-kyu becomes Kim Ja-ryeong, a military commander from a family of lords. He leads the people in chaos.

Finally, Jung Sung-il-I was cast in the role of Genshin. Genshin is the brutal vanguard of the Japanese army. He recognizes Cheon-yeong's extraordinary sword skills.

Meanwhile, head director Kim Sang-man takes the megaphone of "Uprising". Director Kim has directed "Midnight FM". Director Park Chan-wook participated in the production of "Uprising". Park Chan-wook also completed the scenario by co-writing with Shin Chul.
