The box looked smashed on one side. I could hear the dvd loose inside. I opened it and the holding part of the dvd had obe peice broken off floating around inside. There was a bad mark on the dvd but was able to rub it out.

First of all you if you don’t like violence don’t watch this. My first ever Korean film I Loved was “I Saw The Devil”. A CLASSIC REVENGE movie. Like that I purchased this one too. At one point I found humor at the ridiculous flying bloody body parts. So the movie was just getting started when this monster man created by humans wakes up. Then the movie really starts & it is awesome. Grant it some of it is like out of a cartoon because it’s so unrealistic but I enjoyed it till the end. There is a total human twist at the end that give a sad human story to one of the prisoners & also leaves it open to a further development in the story if a second movie is made. There are so many recognizable Korean actors here that I’ll just name a few. In the lead Seo In-Guk who I liked in “Cafe Minamdang” & he has a beautiful voice as well. Jeon Soo-Hyeon is his cohort here but in “Cafe Minamdang” he’s a serial killer. Jang Young-nam the girlfriend of one criminal is in so many movies as the Evil Woman. “The Devil Judge” & “It’s Ok Not To Be Okay” are just two. Sung-Il-jung of “The Glory” is the chef who says my kids don’t remember what I look like we’ve been on this case so long. Dong-il sung who is evil in this played the congenial father in reply 1994, reply 1988 & reply 1977 with Seo In-Guk( the lead in this film) & many more. I say watch it for some great acting good writing & a new story line I’ve never heard before.

For a thriller it does pretty well. But in truth I wanted to see it for Seo In-Guk's performance. He was amazing, not that I am surprised. His acting talent seems to have no bounds. I look forward to seeing more from him.

As for the movie overall? I had fun. It was thrilling, the story was interesting and I enjoyed the action scenes. I preferred the hand-to-hand stuff to the shoot'em-outs. But that's just a personal preference really. The storyline was interesting too. NO SPOILERS here! Wanna know more? Rent or buy the movie.

Project Wolf Hunting is the Train to Busan of 2023! A monstrosity of pure Adrenaline & Pleasure. I literally have nothing bad to say about this film. Phenomenal cinematography, acting, violence, soundtrack, pacing & etc. The depiction of violence while outrageous never felt overboard. I hope that we get too see a sequel or possibly a Trilogy one day. I could write a three-page review, but I’ll end it here lol. The movie is a combo of Predator, Winter Soldier and a Korean Con Air mashed into one glorious movie experience. It will go down in my personal annals for one of the top if not the best movie experience of 2023 for Horror/Action/Thriller Films.

A schlocky crime/horror film. There's no pertinent wolf in the movie and a gratuitous gay sex scene, without any relevance to the film. I'm not sure how it won to awards except possibly thru bribes. The monster has a cage over his eyes, tho two of the later ones don't need the cages. The incredibly stupid head cop manages to chew thru the monster's forearm (flesh and bone), with nothing but his teeth before dying, and the monster doesn't bleed out! Criminals have manages to smuggle lots of weapons on board, but nobody thinks to shoot the monster in the head. Last bad guy injects himself with some serum, that makes him a super bad 'wolf monster' within 20 minutes, but the original one took many years to get there. Don't wast your money or time on it. Wish I could have given it a zero!
